You’re bored of staying indoors. I get it! We all are. But remember you used to complain about how you did not have enough time to get certain things done, or how if you could stop time, you would do this that? Well now is your chance! Here are few things to become successful during this confinement.

• Get licensed/certified

Perhaps your dream job requires you to have a particular license or certification. However, you never had the time to study because of your busy schedule. If these licenses can be obtained online, enrol yourself and start studying! For example, to be a financial planner, you are required to have you CFP, which requires you to have completed several other online exams prior. You could take it one step at a time to get these exams completed.

• Move your local business (affected by Covid-19) to an online platform

During this time, a lot of local businesses have been shut down. Depending on the type of business you were in, you could change your platform to an online presence. For example, if you had a clothing store, you could start selling clothes online instead! If you never had a business, you could start one! We can see how beneficial it is to have an online business in a time like this. Trust me when i say more businesses will move online by the end of this all.

• Learn/improve a skill

This could open doors to a wide range of opportunity! Are you a nail tech? This is the perfect time to learn new nail designs, technique or a style your were not comfortable doing. Are you bilingual and feel like you are getting weaker at you first language? Go online and strengthen it which could be beneficial on your resume. Do you always spend money buying food? Start learning how to cook and you could save money!

• Strengthen your religion

The excuse of “I don’t have time to pray” is now over. You have more than just time now. You can learn how to read the Quran and learn how to pray. So once this confinement is over, hopefully it now becomes a habit. Or maybe, you have been curious about learning about a new religion, or you have questions about a religion. Read, and get in connection with God because it is a great feeling when you know that God is in control.
